— What’s cooler than blowing things up in slow-motion? Nothing, that’s what.

Created for the launch of the iconic Chuck Taylor All-Star “II” - the first update to the seminal rock-star-shoe-of-choice in over 100 years.

The launch film was tasked with featuring the updated materials and re-imagined internal build of this street-wear classic; while at the same time keeping a rough-hewn, punk sensibility at the core of it’s brand DNA. Minimal, layered sound design complimented the textural, gritty CGI. The target for the VFX team was to have the piece finished with an in-camera, live-action, stop-motion-esk authenticity. Check.
